Cherai has worked in every aspect of the event and hospitality industry, including stints as a front desk receptionist, event planner, VIP agent, plus destination and hotel sales. She is a Certified Meeting Planner and uses her over 20 years of experience to help reimagine rich, engaging experiences for her event participants. Cherai has served locally and nationally for PCMA, MPI, Association Forum, and the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners. She loves trying new restaurants, traveling to see her FLPs (Favorite Little People – her nieces and nephews), and enjoys a good Netflix and chill session.

She enjoys watercolor painting, biking, playing both the flute and piano, and volunteering with the Humane Society.

Outside of work, he is an avid cook, golfer, and Boston sports fan, but most of his time is spent with his wife and three daughters.

When on the job, Drew loves creating a space from the ground up that perfectly meshes with both the architecture of the room and the needs of the customer.

Jay loves running, hiking, being on the beach, and is fan of anything Italian.

When he’s not working, Jeremy serves his community through tutoring, makes a mean cranberry-walnut bread, and backpacks deep into the forest (and back).

Jodie has spent over 20 years creating educational and networking experiences for Michigan Realtors. She’s also an adjunct professor at Michigan State University’s School of Hospitality. She always travels with her running shoes because it’s a great chance to see the world. Her personal escape is Beaver Island, Michigan, where she hangs out with her family and her Portuguese Water Dog.

John enjoys exploring the world around him and has recently embraced the aesthetics of tea tasting.

As the creative director of Steelcase Event Experiences, Melissa touches most every project handled by our diverse group of designers. She is passionate about wellbeing and enhancing the participant experience. Melissa is an NCIDQ-certified designer, WELL Accredited Professional, and LEED ID+C Accredited Professional. Her projects have won over 45 design awards, including those from the International Interior Design Association, American Institute of Architects, and Engineering News Record.

Tom is an award-winning, NCIDQ-certified designer with 25 years of experience, who has designed a wide variety of event and conference spaces, including TED, TEDMED, TEDWomen, SxSW, PopTech, and CODE. In his spare time, Tom is also an accomplished oil painter and has held many gallery shows over the years.

Tony has made a career out of marketing and communications work. He’s spent time working for ad agencies, client-side marketing with The Coca-Cola Company, and most recently running an ad agency he co-founded in Lexington, KY. Outside of the office, you can find Tony spending time with his wife and three kids, attending musical theater, streaming his favorite shows, or dining out. He’s not bad to have on your bar trivia team either.
